About The Job
West Tech Shipping is seeking a dynamic and reliable individual to join our team as a Customer Service Representative / Cargo Assistant / Driver. This role combines customer-facing responsibilities with operational support, including cargo handling and occasional driving duties.
The ideal candidate will be customer-focused, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high service standards.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service
Provide excellent customer service to all clients
Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and service requests efficiently
Process customer orders and follow up within required timelines
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional workspace
Manage incoming calls and respond to missed calls promptly
Cash Handling & Administration
Accurately manage cash transactions and ensure daily balancing
Maintain proper records of all transactions
Assist with inventory counts and report discrepancies
Cargo & Operations
Assist with clearing and handling shipments from air and sea ports
Organize and manage packages within the store
Liaise with internal teams and external partners regarding shipments
Ensure accurate tracking and updates using company systems
Driver / Delivery Support
Assist with collection and delivery of cargo when required
Load and offload shipments safely
Ensure accurate delivery of packages to customers
Follow all company and road safety regulations
Job Requirements

Proven customer service experience (at least 1 year)

Able to provide a high level of customer service to all internal and external customers at all times.

Well spoken, with an outgoing and friendly personality.

Patient, with the ability to remain calm and professional during challenging interactions

Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and organize time effectively.

At least 1 year of experience in cash handling/cash management in a business environment

Ability to assist with the clearing, sorting and packing of cargo in store

Flexible with the ability to work on weekends.

Knowledge of brokerage or courier service industry preferred, but not required

Ability to provide accurate, valid and comprehensive information to customers, by applying the right knowledge

Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to follow up on resolutions

Ability to maintain high levels of productivity and focus in a fast-paced environment

Ability to follow communication procedures, guidelines, and policies

Disciplined and focused worker.

CXC passes in Mathematics and English.
Valid driver’s license (required)
