About The Job

West Tech Shipping is seeking an organized and sales-driven individual to join our team as an Auctions Customer Service Representative at our Cole Bay location. This role is responsible for managing the full auctions department — organizing, labelling, and pricing incoming stock, maintaining an appealing and well-kept sales floor, and actively driving sales through online platforms, in-store promotions, and organized sales events such as yard sales.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-directed, and comfortable being measured against monthly sales targets, with the initiative to plan and execute sales activity that moves inventory efficiently.

Job Requirements

• Highly organized, with strong attention to detail in labelling, pricing, and merchandising stock

• Sales-driven, with the ability to meet monthly sales targets and report on performance against goals

• Ability to plan and execute sales initiatives, including in-store promotions and organized sales events (e.g., yard sales)

• Comfortable managing online sales platforms such as Shopify, along with social media and email accounts

• Ability to perform regular and accurate inventory stock counts and identify/report discrepancies

• At least 1 year of experience in a sales-based job

• Ability to determine and apply appropriate pricing to items in coordination with Accounts

• Self-motivated and able to work independently in managing the day-to-day operations of the department

• Flexible with the ability to work weekends and holidays as scheduled

• Knowledge of auction, retail, or merchandising environments preferred, but not required

• Ability to maintain high levels of productivity and focus in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to follow communication procedures, guidelines, and policies
